How to Share your Laptop Internet with Your Mobile Devices [No Software Required]

In this post, I am going to explain you how to turn your laptop in a Wi-Fi hotspot and connect your mobile device to use your laptop Internet in few clicks. This process is called Reverse Tethering. 1. 1. As you know public Wi-Fi is not secure at all. You can use your laptop secured Wi-Fi from your Mobile devices.

2. Use Reverse tethering where mobile devices are not allowed to connect with network. You can use your office Internet from your mobile devices. Isn’t it cool? 3. Use your laptop Internet connection if your mobile device is out of coverage area. Turn your Laptop as a Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot Follow the below steps to turn your laptop into a Wi-Fi Hotspot. Step 1. Open Command Prompt with admin rights. To open Command Prompt with admin rights, search for cmd, right click and Click on Run as Administrator. Step2. Check if it is supported by your laptop or not by executing this command. netsh wlan show drivers If Hosted network supported: yes then go ahead, if no then this trick will not work for your laptop. Step 3. Enter the below command. netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=YOUR_USER_ID key=YOUR_ PASSWORD Make sure you enter ssid  and Key. You can enter any custom ssid and password. Step 4. Enter netsh wlan start hostednetwork Step 5. You are done. Turn on your mobile Wi-Fi and search for Wi-Fi. Step 6. Go to Network and sharing-> Change adapter settings. Right click on connection, Choose Properties from the context menu->Sharing-> Tick mark “Allow other network user to connect through this computer’s Internet connection ” and choose “Local Area connection” from the dropdown.
